But to understand Kathy Kolbe’s home, you must first understand Kolbe herself. The daughter of E.F. “Al” Wonderlic, a pioneer in the field of industrial psychology and originator the Wonderlic Personnel Test, which measures a person’s cognitive ability, Kolbe is considered one of the world’s foremost experts in the study of human instincts. She’s written three books on the subject, including the best-selling “Conative Connection: Acting on Instinct,” and in 1986 she was named one of America’s “can-do people” in Time magazine’s Man of the Year issue. This, from a woman who as a child was told she was severely dyslexic and couldn’t write.
