12 Winter 2019 By Cody Kennedy People who love the holidays usually make an effort to see all the holiday lights, decorations and displays that pop up approaching the holiday season. Here are five Valley tours, from vintage spots to fully decked-out in Christmas decorations, that will keep those holiday cravings satiated. 11/1 Cooks’ Tour 9 to 11:40 a.m. Tickets are $20 for the tour; $20 for the luncheon The 49th annual Cooks’ Tour is here with a plethora of events to get the holidays started. There will be an afternoon tea table, holiday shopping with ornaments, books and decorations, plus homemade jams, pickles, snacks and baked goods. There will be a luncheon available with “southwest flair,” a silent auction, a jewelry table and a “watch dog” sculpture table – all with items available for purchase. The home tour will consist of one of Paradise Valley’s luxurious homes; guests will be surrounded by Native American art, rugs and pottery. A unique set of “Fence Posts” by acclaimed Indian artists will greet guests as they tour the home and grounds. Hosted by Valley Presbyterian Church, the proceeds for this tour will go toward some of their charities.
